Since 1982
It all started when Frank Wood built a Kelsal 45 trimaran in 1982 and competed in two trans-Atlantic races. Since then he has logged thousands of miles on the Atlantic, Caribbean and Mediterranean Seas servicing the yacht industry as a self employed skipper and engineer.
Great Circle is a competitive yacht delivery company with over 250000 nautical miles of sailing experience.
We have experience of the construction and management of ocean racing yachts. Including Triple Jack the five times winner of the Heineken Regatta, St Martin.
The Wood family have over 40 years of senior company management experience, we started the highly successful LPG company, Cheshire Gas.
Our crew is trained to the top RYA/MCA standards of Yachtmaster Ocean.
But Great Circle is not an exclusive, expensive yacht managment agency. We are still run as a family business that prides itself on the personal touch in all its dealings; and offers a service that is well within the price range of todays yacht owner.

Great Circle Yacht Deliveries was started by Jeff Wood who has been involved with yacht delivery for 20 years and has delivered many as a free lance Yachtmaster. His father, Frank Wood who is a co-founder of Great Circle has been sailing yachts for 36 years. He has built ocean racing yachts and competed in two trans Atlantic races and 3 round Britain races.
